This the fam! These are our beautiful wifes! We are some lucky guys. These two women have been holding us down for some time now. You always need a strong woman in your corner. NOT A BOPPA!!!
Here is our engineer E and our good friend Levi - he manages the Guitar Center - looks like these guys are getting drunk at the album release party. I guess we work them too hard.
These are theGritboys in VIP overlooking the crowd. VIP is never as fun as being in the actual crowd. Maybe this changes when you become a superstar. I'll let yall know when this happens.
Yes Yes that is myself, Lil Keith and Reimonenq at the Gritboys underground album release party. Reimonenq is helping bring this whole Mo Betta Label together. He wants to taste them millions just like i do. Be the master of your own fate!
M.C. Qua, you know him the voice behind the hit HOOKA HOOKA. He is also one of the top promoters in the "H". He has been showing the Gritboys some luv!! look at that stack in his hand, hol up Qua!
The first pitch at the astros came. I thought I was about to witness history! Oh well we made it to the World Series though. I have to thank Paul for taking me to the game that night!
Here we have one of the creative minds behind Swishahouse's success. Its rare he stops by the Live from the Grid.Iron recording studio so i had to snap a pic of him. look in the background Paul Wall is hard at work!
Paul Wall getting "chopped up by that White Mike" before we hit that Astros game! This was a pretty good day for me! by the end of the night i bought Pauls '95 impala from him. I waas crunk and i think i still may be a little crunk. i will have to post a pic of it!
Here is a little insight into how calvin and i work. Calvin usually creates the bulk of the melodies in our music and I do the rest. Basically he creates and i create around him. But this is not how it works everytime though. It just depends on our moods.
My wife seems to be taking everything in stride considering the house where her dreams were born is no longer inhabitable. Peep this she is the only person in Cafe Du Monde! What are the odds of that, slim to none!
On a lighter note, the bars are open and it possible to get drunk in New Orleans. I must admit it felt really good to get to an area that was up and running!!!
This is the "American Dream" you work for 25+ years for some big corporation paying taxes and insurance, to insure that if a disaster like this occurs you will be secure. But noone tells you how you have to fight with the insurance companies to give you the money they owe. Or how it takes them six weeks to contact you concerning you claim. The "american dream" seems to be a dream. Think about this where is the federal government getting all this money, if we are already indebted? The Iraqi War, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and the money we've sent to disasters abroad. Think About.
This is my mother in law, Big Jen, and as you can see there is nothing left of their once welcoming home. Look at her eyes I think they speak a thousand words.
Well I know a lot of you have been following the press coverage concerning Hurricane Katrina and maybe it is hard for you to imagine the actual devestation. Here I stand on the ruble of my inlaws home, well what remains of their house.
Too bad Christina Reyes wouldn't let us get a good pic of her. She is grinding hard right now in grad school, bartending at the Gritboys Showin Up album release party and coaching with the Prairie View A&M softball team. Somebody better scoop her up while she's single! If she is single?! hmmm
